Just as the Healthiest State Campaign has gained momentum (moving from 15th to 10th place in the first four years), so has the campaign’s fundraising effort. For our state to take the next leap towards #1, we have launched an ambitious 1,000 day plan to raise $10 million.

If you have followed Presidential campaigns, then you know how expensive they are. We would argue that transforming the health and health system within our state takes a Herculean effort. Working to change individual lifestyles, corporate approaches to health and wellness, community health, and state policies, require that each Washingtonian play a role, and now that role and ask has taken a new look with funding plan to sustain our efforts.

Often times, investors ask, “So, what’s the return on investment?” Our response is simple: Your investment will provide the resources needed to move Washington state to the top spot. The 35,000 individuals who have joined the Campaign speak to our ability to galvanize support around a shared vision. Now, we are leveraging this impact to help keep moving towards #1.

You will see with the funding pyramid below how we anticipate to reach our goal. Participation in the Campaign will always remain at no financial cost. Now is the time, however, to ask leaders to step up and take a major stake in the Campaign’s success.

Please contact Peter Schrappen at 206-438-6127 or PeterS@whf.org to further discuss our plan and your place in it. The long-term vision of the Campaign is predicated on community leaders to play an active role. We look forward to your investment in making Washington the Healthiest State in the Nation.
