December 20, 2007 - January 31, 2008
It's that time of year again!
For the third year in a row, the Washington Health Foundation is empowering Washington
residents to make and keep healthy New Year's resolutions on its website.
- The website is free to all Washington individuals, businesses, organizations and
schools.
New Year's Resolution Message from WHF President & CEO, Greg Vigdor:
"It's a new year, and time to strengthen our resolve to make Washington the
Healthiest State in the Nation," said WHF President & CEO Greg Vigdor.
"That is why today we are challenging Washingtonians to make and keep their
personal healthy New Year's resolutions in 2008. We made great strides in 2007 moving
up three spots in the latest state health rankings (from 15th to 12th) and want
to continue that momentum as we move into the new year.
"We've created a fun, easy and high-tech way to help people stick to their
personal goals for 2008. From walking more to eating right and losing weight, Champions
can see their progress online. And this year, you'll find new features such as video
and we added a few new health trackers in 2007: dental health, sleep, water and
tobacco cessation. Participants also get access to health information and tips to
help them meet their goals and stay motivated. If we all stick to our New Year's
Resolutions and log our miles at HealthiestState.org, Washington will be that much
closer to becoming the Healthiest State in the Nation."
